Rediscovering My Music Collection with AKG K-240's. Wow.
Posted July 22nd, 2007 by ElliottAbout seven years ago I was doing a lot of home recording on a PC with a breakout recording interface. Around that time I purchased a pair of AKG K-240 Monitor headphones, which worked well with my powered interface. I remember that the music sounded good, but in the age of iPods, MP3s, and earbuds, I too was guilty of sacrificing quality for portability.
I was going through some old boxes yesterday, and found them again. I immediately plugged them in to make sure they still worked. Did they ever.
Amadeus Pro: Swiss Army Knife of Audio Editing for the Mac
Posted July 19th, 2007 by ElliottFinally! I've found the audio editor for the Mac to do all those little things like trimming, noise reduction, and more. Amadeus Pro, from Hairesoft, is just what they say, the swiss army knife of sound editing.
It loads fast, is intuitive to use, appears stable, the noise reduction works great, and has some nice features such as multitrack support, batch processing, markers, and more. Free demo, $40 to purchase.
