Firefox Share on One of My Sites Jumps to 74.5%

Firefox

Firefox, the increasingly popular open source, cross platform, web browser we all know and love has steadily gaining traction. I was shocked today when I checked the site traffic for theartlab.net, a website I maintain. It is now 74.5% Firefox users and a pretty even split at around 8% for Safari and IE users, and the rest were a hodgepodge of mobile browsers and flavors of Opera.

In general, the percentage has stood at around 45%, so I'm wondering why the sudden jump. Is it that spam bots use it to try to attack sites? I've noticed an increase in the amount of unsuccessful spam attempts to deface that site... Either way if it's general users or spammers, at least they're getting a good web experience!
